Expressions of Interest for 2 Postdoctoral Positions in the Cosmology Group at IFAE (Barcelona)

The IFAE Cosmology group in Barcelona is recruiting 2 postdoctoral researchers to join the ERC-funded OCAPi research group. The successful candidates will develop new methodologies for field-level inference of weak-lensing data and apply them to Euclid data. Possible areas of contribution include:

• Emulating gravity and baryonic effects at the field level.
• Developing advanced sampling methods for high-dimensional cosmological inference.
• Modelling systematic effects with sufficient accuracy for field-level inference.

The positions are for 3 years, with a flexible starting date from February 2027.

We welcome expressions of interest and will give full consideration to applications received by December 7, 2026. Previous interest or experience in MCMC sampling, forward modelling, data analysis and high performance computing would be advantageous for this project. Candidates should submit:

• A CV, including a publication list.
• A research statement (maximum 3 pages) summarising previous research, research interests, and potential contributions to the OCAPi project.
• Names and contact details of 3 academic referees.
